What Is Memory Care?

Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive challenges can make life for your loved one not only difficult but dangerous as well. We help by providing a customizable lifestyle option that focuses on these challenges and ensures your loved one develops a sense of community and safety while living in our care.

Before joining our community, our caregivers sit down with you and your loved one to determine the level of care they need. From here, we can choose an appropriate apartment, find social opportunities, and tailor a care plan to ensure they are happy, healthy, and thriving.

Our Memory Care staff is certified by the Alzheimer’s Association through our Enriching Connections program. This training helps our team connect with your loved one, establishing a relationship based on trust.

Choosing Your Loved One’s Level of Support

We customize your loved one’s level of care based on several factors, including:

  • Eating
  • Bathing
  • Personal hygiene
  • Mobility
  • Medication management
  • Dressing
  • They have memory problems or are diagnosed with a cognitive illness.
  • They cannot safely live at home anymore.
  • They have a history of wandering.
  • They are at risk of injury while living alone.
  • They struggle with stress and anxiety while living alone.

We want what’s best for your loved one, and great care always starts with a great team. Enriching Connections is our unique training program that teaches our caregivers how to develop meaningful relationships with our residents.

These relationships serve as the foundation of our care. If your loved one feels safe and secure around our staff, they’ll adapt better to their new living situation. There are several values we focus on during training:

  • Relationships & Community: Everyone is invited to belong.
  • Commitment: Your loved one is our first priority.
  • Certification & Training: All management and Memory Care staff are certified by the Alzheimer’s Association. Their training also includes comprehensive dementia courses.
  • Services: We tailor our services to match your loved one’s needs.
  • Meaningful Life & Engagement: Our Inspire Wellness for Life program fosters healthy, engaging, and thriving lifestyles.
  • Environment: We make continuous adjustments to our buildings and programs to ensure the safety of our Memory Care residents.
  • Accountability: We strive for high care standards, and we adjust our services to ensure we provide the best support for your loved one.

The 8-8 program is specifically designed to help our Memory Care residents find structure and stability in their day-to-day lives. Activities in this program promote engagement, safety, community, and security. By focusing on these aspects, we can improve their state of mind and sleep patterns.
